2011 (Sophomore): Set a personal record in the 3,000-meter run with her 13th-place finish at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 26), finishing in 10:21.22...Earned another 13th place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 26), clocking in at 18:24.33...Placed 12th in the 1,500-meter run at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 23)...Came in 11th in the 5,000-meter run at the MW outdoor championships (May 14)...Took fourth in the 3,000-meter run at the Front Range championships (May 1).

2010 (Freshman): Earned a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meter run at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3) with a time of 10:49.22...Placed fifth in the 10,000-meter run at the MWC championships (May 12).

High school: Sarah lettered in cross country, lacrosse and track while attending Geneva Community High School in Geneva, Ill., and Prior Lake High School in Prior Lake, Minn. She received all-state honors her sophomore and junior seasons while at Prior Lake and received all-state honors her senior year at Geneva Community. She was part of a state championship cross country team at Prior Lake and also captained the team the previous year in 2007. She received all-academic honors, was a board scholar and graduated with a 3.9 GPA.

Personal: Sarah was born to Mark and Susan Heuer on Jan. 31, 1991, in St. Paul, Minn. She has a young brother, Zach, and two older sisters, Siena and Meghan. She is majoring in biological science.
