Attended Mt. San Antonio College where he was a state qualifier in the decathlon and member of the dean's list.

Canyon High School
Four-year letter winner in track and field and three-year letter winner in football at Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills, Calif. Earned all-league honors in football in 2007 and 2008. Earned all-league honors in track and field all four years and was the league MVP his senior season. Member of three track and field league champion teams.
