Rams record six first-place finishes

2011 (Sophomore): Placed 10th in the 60-meter dash at the Air Force Don Barrett Duals (Jan. 29), with a time of 7.08...Took third in the 60-meter hurdles at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 26), clocking in at 8.05...Won the 110-meter hurdles at the Front Range championships (May 1), finishing in 14.31...Earned a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the MW outdoor championships (May 14), advancing him to the NCAA West Regionals.

2010 (Freshman): Scored at the Colorado State-Pueblo Open (March 28) by taking eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.78 seconds...Also finished second in the 110-meter hurdles at the same meet...Won the 100-meter hurdles at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3)...Placed second in the 110-meter hurdles at the Jack Christiansen Invite (5/8/10) after finishing in 14.62 seconds...Earned fourth place in the long jump with a distance of 6.63 meters at the Jack Christiansen Invite (May 8)...At the MWC championships (May 12) finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles and third in the 4x100- meter relay.

High School: Kelby was a three-sport athlete lettering in football, basketball and track while attending Sierra High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. He garnered all-league honors in all three sports, all-state honors in football and track. He won nine individual state championships and was captain of the track team his senior year. He was also a high school All-American in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Personal: Kelby was born Nov. 1, 1989, to David and Leslie Dias in Colorado Springs, Colo. He has two sisters, Alyssa and Paige. He has yet to declare a major.
