2011 (Sophomore): Took fourth in the 800-meter run and seventh in the 60-meter hurdles at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 25)...Placed seventh with a new personal record of 31 feet, 5.5 inches in the shot put at the Potts Indoor Invitational (Jan. 22)...Came in sixth overall in the pentathlon with 3,393 points at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 25)...Won the high jump at the Front Range Championships (May 1),clearing a height of 5-8.

2010 (Freshman): Placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles at the Don Barrett Air Force Duals (Jan. 30)... Finished 15th in the javelin throw and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3)...Won the high jump at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3), clearing a height of 1.65 meters...Took sixth in the women's decathalon at the Glenn Morris Multi Event (April 22)...placed 12th in the high jump at the MWC championships (May 12).

High School: Cate earned varsity letters in basketball, volleyball and indoor and outdoor track while attending Cody High School in Cody, Wyo. She received all-state honors three years for indoor and all four years for outdoor track. She was also the Wyoming state champion two years straight in the high jump from 2008-09, and as captain of the track team, was the state champion in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles in 2009. Cate holds her high school's records in the high jump, 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles as well as the Wyoming high school state record in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet 7 1/4 inches.

Personal: Cate was born July 18, 1991, to Scott and Jeanine Brus in Cody, Wyo. She has an older sister, Erica. Her father was a basketball player at Northwest Community College in Wyo. Majoring in art.
