EUGENE, Ore. – Colorado State’s Kristen Hemphill placed 10th overall in the preliminary round Thursday evening. She will now move on to the final race that will take place Saturday just before noon.
Hemphill finished fifth in her heat with a time of 10 minutes, 9.51 seconds, rounding out the top 10 overall. The top five runners advanced from each heat plus the next best four times.
CBS will televise the final two hours of the meet live from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, other than when CBS/CBS College Sports is on the air, there will be a live Web cast of the championships available at www.NCAA.com.
Oregon will also have extended coverage of the NCAA championships at www.goducks.com. The Web site will feature a live blog, photo galleries, real-time race recaps and video interviews.
