2008: Tim redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

2007 (Freshman): Tim scored four times during the outdoor season. At the Rob Upton Invitational (March 24), he finished third in the 400-meter hurdles (55.95) and sixth in the 110- meter high hurdles (15.68). At the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 21), he finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles (55.46). At the MWC outdoor championships (May 9), he finished seventh in the 110-meter high hurdles (15.10). At the end of the year he was named academic all-conference.

High School: Tim ran track and played basketball while attending Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Ariz. In 2006, he was all-state in both the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles. He holds the school record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.38) and 300-meter hurdles (37.41), both set in 2006.

Personal: Tim was born Feb. 18, 1988, to Ron and Cathy Sterrenberg. He has two sisters, Stephanie and Kelli, and a brother, Scott. He is majoring in health and exercise science.
