2008 (Outdoor Sophomore/Indoor Junior): During the outdoor season, Scott scored with a fourth-place finish (4:03.92)in the 1,500 meters at the Front Range Championships (May 3). He finished in 10th place (32:35.38) in the 10,000 meters at the MWC outdoor championships.

2007 (Indoor Sophomore): During the indoor season, Scott posted two scores. He finished third (1:55.49) in the 800 meters at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 2) and he finished fourth(4:19.01) in the mile at the MWC indoor championships. He then redshirted the outdoor season. He was also named to theMountain West academic all-conference team.

2006 (Freshman): During the indoor season, Scott scored twice in the mile, finishing fourth (4:22.99) at the Air Force Invitational(Feb. 3) and sixth (4:22.64) at the MWC indoor championships. During the outdoor season, he scored twice in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing second (9:37.86) at the Rob Upton Invitational (March 25) and fourth (9:17.89) at the MWC outdoor championships (May 10), setting a time that still stands as his personal best. At the end of the season he was named to the USTFCCCA all-academic team.

High School: Scott lettered in both cross country and track while attending Brookings-Harbor High School in Brookings,Ore. He is a three-time Far West League cross country champion and two-time 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter league champion. He was the Oregon state cross country, 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter champion in 2003 and 2004. He was the winner of the Steve Prefontaine Award as Oregon's most elite runner. He is the school record holder in the 1,500 meters (3:56.6).

Personal: Scott was born July 10, 1987, to Kolin and Robin Sanders in Spokane, Wash. He has an older brother, Kyle, and an older sister, Jaime. He is majoring in health and exercise science.
