2008 (Indoor Senior/Outdoor Junior): Niomi posted seven scores during the outdoor season. At the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 25), she finished in second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.95) and in third in the 100-meter hurdles (14.39). At the Front Range Championships (May 3), she won the high jump (1.80m), setting a personal best and a CSU record, and finished in sixth place in the 100-meter hurdles (14.23). Finally, she scored three times at the MWC outdoor championships (May 14), finishing second in the high jump (1.70m), sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.13) and eighth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.85). At the NCAA championships (June 12-13), she finished in 17th place in the high jump (1.74m).

2007 (Indoor Junior/ Outdoor Sophomore): Niomi scored four times during the outdoor season. At the Rob Upton Invitational (March 24), she won the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.20) and finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (14.74). At the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 21), she won the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.60) and finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.30).

2006 (Indoor Sophomore/Outdoor Freshman): Niomi scored twice at the outdoor Rob Upton Invitational (March 25), winning the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.25) and finishing eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.87).

2005 (Indoor Freshman): As a true freshman, Niomi scored during the indoor season at the Air Force Invitational (Jan. 21) by finishing eighth in the pentathlon (3,039 points). She then redshirted the outdoor season.

High School: Niomi earned varsity letters in four sports while attending Century High School in Hillsboro, Ore. She was Metro League champion in the high jump, 100-meter hurdles, and 400- meter hurdles, and was the 2004 Oregon state champion in the 300-meter hurdles.

Personal: Niomi was born Jan. 14, 1986, to David and Rita Ridge in Portland, Ore. She has a sister, Nicole, and two brothers, Blaine and Drake. She is majoring in health and exercise science.
