At the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, about two miles west of the main campus area and in one of the most scenic settings to be found anywhere.
2009 (Freshman): Janice competed in two meets during the outdoor season, recording a fourth-place finish in the pole vault (2.80m) at the Front Range Invitational (May 2), and a second-place finish (2.90m) at the Colorado State Ram Open.
High School: Janice was a four-time letterwinner in both track and cross country while attending Bayfield High School in Bayfield, Colo. She was named to the academic all-state teams in cross country (2006) and track (2007). She was cross country team captain in 2006.
Personal: Janice was born Feb. 1, 1989, to John and Stephanie McClain in Dallas, Texas. Her father played football at Texas Tech University. She is majoring in sports medicine.
