2009 (Junior): Tanesha began the indoor season at the Wyoming Power Meet (Dec. 6), where she recorded a season-best time in the 55-meters (7.13), and claimed first-place in the triple jump (12.10m). She claimed first in the triple jump (11.84m) at the Air Force All-Comers Meet (Jan. 16). She notched first-place finishes in the triple jump (12.21m) and 60m (7.66) at the Don Barrett Air Force Dual (Jan. 31). At the Air Force Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13) she notched a pair of fourth-place finishes in the triple jump (11.32m) and 60-meters (7.65). Tanesha closed out the season scoring multiple times at the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 26) with a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (24.40), a fifth-place finish in the triple jump (12.42m) and a fifth-place finish in the 60-meters (7.60). She began the outdoor season with a first-place finish in the triple jump (11.74m) and the 100-meter race (12.07), and a second-place finish in the 200-meters (24.59) at the Potts Invitational (March 21). She recorded her best leap in the triple jump at the Sun Angel Track Classic (April 10) finishing second (12.23m). She scored at the Wyoming Gem City Duals (April 18) finishing first in the triple jump (11.61m) and second in the 200-meters (25.10). She recorded her best time in the 100-meters at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 24) with a first-place finish (12.01) while also finishing first in the triple jump (12.05m). Her best time in the 200-meters came at the Colorado State Ram Open (May 9) as she took first place (24.36). At the MWC championships, Tanesha finished in fourth place in the triple jump (12.2m), eighth place in the 200-meters (24.66) and ninth-place in the 100-meters (11.98).

2008 (Sophomore): Tanesha had a very successful 2008 campaign, one that included eight scores and seven wins in four disciplines. During the indoor season, she won the triple jump (12.2m) and finished fifth in the 60-meters (7.80) at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 1). At the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 28) she scored twice, finishing fourth in the 60-meters (7.55) and sixth in the triple jump (12.2m). During the outdoor season, she posted six wins in three disciplines, including a win in the triple jump (12.4m) at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 25) where she also finished second in the 200-meters (24.62). Finally, she posted two scores at the MWC outdoor championships (May 15), finishing fifth in the triple jump (12.5m) and sixth in the 100-meters (11.75). At the Midwest Regional (May 30), she finished 23rd in the 100-meters (12.07) and 24th in the triple jump (12.27m). At the end of the season, she was named an academic All-American.

2007 (Freshman): Tanesha posted four scores during the indoor season, winning the 60-meters (7.69) and finishing in seventh place in the triple jump (11.73m) at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 2), and finishing in sixth place in both the 60-meters (7.62) and triple jump (12.09m) at the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 22). During the outdoor season, she won both the 100-meters (12.03) and the triple jump (11.59m) at the Rob Upton Invitational (March 24). She also finished in eighth place in both the 100-meters (12.27) and the triple jump (11.8m) at the MWC outdoor championships (May 9). Finally, she earned an academic all-conference award.

High School: Tanesha was a four-time letterwinner in track while attending Eaglecrest High School in Centennial, Colo., where she was both all-league and all-state in the 4x100-meters and 4x200-meters. She holds school records in the 4x100-meters, set in 2005, and the 4x200 meters and triple jump, both set in 2006. She was also named team MVP for sprints and field events.

Personal: Tanesha was born Jan. 5, 1988, to Darius and Barbara Johnson in Clovis, N.M. She has a brother, Darius, and a sister, Serena, who also competes for CSU. She is majoring in business administration.
