2009 (Indoor Sophomore/Outdoor Junior): Emily began her indoor season at the Air Force Indoor All-Comers meet, where she recorded a seventh-place finish with a toss of 14.76m in the weight throw. Her best performance of the outdoor season came in the Rob Upton Invitational (March 28), where she finished in fourth place in the hammer throw (45.15m). Her best throw in the discus came at the Wyoming City Duals (April 18), where she finished eighth (42.60m). She competed in the MWC championships, coming in 18th in the discus (41.11m).

2008 (Sophomore): Emily finished in fourth place in the discus throw (43.68m) at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 25), and then finished in fifth place in the discus throw (44.91m) at the MWC outdoor championships (May 14), setting a personal best in the process.

2007 (Freshman): Emily posted her first score during the outdoor season at the Rob Upton Invitational (March 24), when she finished seventh in the discus throw (32.2m).

High School: Emily earned varsity letters in three sports while attending Broomfield High School in Broomfield, Colo. She holds the school records in the shot put, set in 2005, and the discus throw, set in 2006.

Personal: Emily was born Jan. 7, 1988, to Kathy and Steve Geubelle in Corpus Christi, Texas. She has a brother, Daniel, and a sister, Katie. Her father was a javelin thrower at Wichita State. She is majoring in technical journalism.
