Six student-athletes will be part of annual program

Rams presented with honor in four sports
2009 (Freshman): Nicole started the indoor season at the Air Force Indoor All-Comers Meet (Jan. 16), where she finished second in the mile run (5:33.47). She bested that time in the mile at the Don Barrett Air Force Duals (Jan. 31), finishing fourth (5:21.25). She claimed first place in the 3,000-meters (10:31.28) at the Air Force Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13). She recorded her best time in the 3,000-meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational (Feb. 6) finishing fifth (9:56.92). She had her best race in the 1500-meters at the Wyoming Gem City Duals (April 18) finishing third (4:43.51). She had an impressive finish in the 5,000-meters at the Oregon Relays (April 23) finishing third (16:44.04). She had a strong performance at the MWC championships, finishing second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:24.68) and finishing fourth in the 5,000-meters (18:14.31). Nicole finished her season competing in the 5,000-meter and 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet, recording her best time of the season in the steeplechase with a time of 10:51.51.
High School: Nicole earned letters in four sports while at Langham Creek High School in Houston, Texas. She was all-area four times for cross country and three times for track, and was named all-state three times for cross country. Four times she was named MVP of the cross country and track teams. She finished in the top five at the Houston Division 5A regional meet all four years. She also ran 10:57 in the 3,200-meters and 4:53 at the Congress Avenue Mile.
Personal: Nicole was born Oct. 30, 1989, to David and Susan Peters. She has a brother, Brian, and two sisters, Karen and Christine. She is majoring in natural resources management.
