2009 (Sophomore): Samantha competed twice during the indoor season, recording an 11th-place finish in the 800-meters (2:26.34) at the Don Barrett Air Force Duals (Jan. 31) and a fourth-place finish in the mile (5:35.61) at the Air Force Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13).

2008 (Freshman): Samantha attended Georgetown University, where she participated on the distance and middle-distance teams. High School: Samantha lettered in three sports while attending Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was an indoor All-American in the mile in 2007, and was a three-time all-state selection in cross country and a 10-time all-state honoree in track. At the Penn Relays, she won the mile championship (4:50.31) in a time that was the 10th fastest in the nation that year. She twice won the 3A Utah track state championship.

Personal: Samantha was born Feb. 6, 1989, to David and Heidi McMillan. She has a sister, Ellison, and two brothers, Ian and Alastair. She is majoring in anthropology.
