2009 (Freshman): Janice competed in two meets during the outdoor season, recording a fourth-place finish in the pole vault (2.80m) at the Front Range Invitational (May 2), and a second-place finish (2.90m) at the Colorado State Ram Open.

High School: Janice was a four-time letterwinner in both track and cross country while attending Bayfield High School in Bayfield, Colo. She was named to the academic all-state teams in cross country (2006) and track (2007). She was cross country team captain in 2006.

Personal: Janice was born Feb. 1, 1989, to John and Stephanie McClain in Dallas, Texas. Her father played football at Texas Tech University. She is majoring inhealth and exercisescience.
