2008 (Junior): In her first year as a Ram, Missy was a consistent scorer during both the indoor and outdoor seasons, capping off her season with an outdoor conference championship in the discus throw. At the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 1), she finished in third place in the shot put (14.49m) and in sixth place in the weight throw (16.77m). At the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 28), she set an indoor personal best while finishing in second place in the shot put (15.05m), earning her all-conference honors, and also finished in sixth place in the weight throw (16.68m). During the outdoor season she posted seven scores, including four event wins. At the Mesa Classic (April 11), she won both the discus throw (50.33m) and the shot put (14.92m). At the Front Range Championships (May 3), she scored in all three of her events, winning the shot put (14.77m), coming in second in the discus throw (47.53m) and finishing fifth in the hammer throw (48.42m). Finally, she scored twice at the MWC outdoor championships (May 14), winning the discus throw (51.33m) and finishing third in the shot put (15.21m). At the NCAA championships (June 12-13), she finished in 17th in the shot put (15.57m) and 16th in the discus throw (48.64m).

2005-2007 (Freshman-Sophomore): While competing at the University of California, Missy was a USATF Junior All- American in 2005, when she came in second place in the shot put. At the 2005 Junior Pan-Am Games, she won a silver medal in the shot put and a bronze medal in the discus throw.

High School: Missy was a varsity letterwinner in both track and golf while attending Centennial High School in Bakersfield, Calif. From 2001-04 she was named all-area and all-state, and in 2004 she was the California state high school discus throw champion. She was a four-time USATF Junior All-American. She holds the school records in the discus throw (51.85m) and the shot put (15.15m).

Personal: Missy was born March 17, 1986, to Ron and JoAnne Faubus in Delano, Calif. She has a brother, Charlie. Her brother and her sisterin- law were both track athletes at Cal State - Bakersfield. She is majoring in liberal arts.
