High School: Ashley was a four-time varsity letterwinner in track while attending Carmel High School in Carmel, Ind. She was named all-conference and all-state in both her junior and senior years. She won the conference championship in the high jump and was team captain her senior year.

Personal: Ashley was born March 31, 1989, to Ralph and Vija Dixon in Indianapolis, Ind. She has an older brother, Chris. Her father was a swimmer at Wabash College. She is majoring in nutrition.
