Members of the Colorado State University Golden Poms are part of the CSU Athletic Department. Like other athletes of this university, we abide by the rules set by the Mountain West Conference and NCAA. We encourage our team members involvement in other activities, however, we ask that their commitment to their team and their sport come before any other extracurricular activities (i.e., sororities, jobs, clubs, and organizations). Anyone considering to audition for this team should keep these two things in mind when applying and auditioning for this team.

The 14-16 member team performs at all home football and men's and women's basketball games as well as volleyball. The team also performs at several local and statewide events such as UDA Regional Competitions, State Recruiting Fair, and High School State Championships. CSU's history includes competing at the national level in years past. CSU Dancers are not only student-athletes and performers, but ambassadors of Colorado State University who attend many Community and University events.

Objectives:

• to provide team members with the opportunity to enhance their dance technique
• to provide a quality team experience in order to facilitate the development of usable, transferable life skills
• to offer team members the opportunity to experience the commitment necessary to maintain a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle
• to offer team members the experience of serving their community so as to enhance their understanding of good citizenship
