Men's and Women's Basketball Host Hooptoberfest October 14

FORT COLLINS, Colo.— As part of Colorado State University's 2017 Homecoming Weekend, fans can enjoy the pre-game excitement of HOOPTOBERFEST, a free event to mingle with and compete against Colorado State's very own men's and women's basketball players, held prior to the Rams' football game versus Nevada on Oct. 14.
The free event will take place on Pitkin Street at the north end of CSU Stadium and will go from approximately 5:45 p.m., following the football team's Ram Walk on Pitkin, until 7:45 p.m. There will be a team-hosted shooting contest and inflatable Pop-A-Shot for fans to compete against the student-athletes. Prizes include tickets to the Nov. 10 basketball doubleheader with the women playing Idaho at 5:30 p.m. and the men taking on Sacramento State at 7:30 p.m. Cam the Ram mascot and members of the Spirit Squad will be at the photo station with student-athletes and props to take pictures with fans, while team members will be signing 2017-18 schedule posters and interacting with other basketball enthusiasts.
Season tickets and mini plans for both basketball seasons are available by contacting the Rams Sales Team at 800-491-RAMS (7267) or visiting www.CSURams.com/tickets. Student tickets will also be available soon and will be digitally loaded to students' Ram Cards upon reservation.
