Jamie Hays Szelc joined CSU's Athletic Development Staff in May of 2013, as Assistant Director of Development/Major Gifts.
In her current role, Hays Szelc solicits major gifts for CSU Athletics and oversees the annual fund. Prior to her arrival at CSU, Jamie worked at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI for nearly ten years, spending the last five years as their Assistant Director of Development - Athletics. In her role, while soliciting for major gifts, Jamie also oversaw the annual fund and internal operations of the Blue & Gold Fund. Hays Szelc was part of a team that over the last four years booked more than $21 million in annual, endowed, and major giving and helped grow the annual fund by 56 percent.
Szelc previously worked as Assistant Director of Marketing for Marquette Athletics, where she was oversaw the marketing efforts for the women's basketball and volleyball programs.
A native of Pratt, Kansas, Jamie received her Bachelor of Science in Education, with an emphasis in Sport Management from The University of Kansas and later earned a Master's of Science in Sport Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi. Jamie also served as the BIG EAST Representative for the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) for the last four years.
