Assistant Director of Media Relations

Nic Hallisey joined the Rams' media relations staff in a full-time capacity on July 2, 2012 after five years as an assistant.

Hallisey has played an integral role in the department since 2007, and currently serves as the primary publicist for CSU's volleyball, swimming & diving and water polo programs. He previously spent four years as a student-assistant in the department, working with a wide range of sports, including men's basketball and football. He then transitioned to a larger role as media relations assistant during the 2011-12 season, traveling as the media contact for the nationally ranked women's volleyball program.

A native of Fort Collins, Hallisey graduated from Rocky Mountain High School before earning his bachelor's degree in journalism & technical communication in May 2012.

During his time as an undergraduate, Hallisey gained valuable experience as an intern with USA Basketball and gameday assistant with the Denver Broncos. Broadening his skillset, he also spent summers with the Coloradoan newspaper and the MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.), in addition to volunteering at several Mountain West and NCAA championship events, including the NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four in 2012.
