Dawn Burton is a graduate of New Mexico State University, where she was a cheerleader & captain, both on the co-ed and all-girl team. She earned a Bachelor of Administration in Human Resources Management & Marketing. At that time she moved to Albuquerque and obtained her Master's Degree in Human Resources Development.

She has been an active coach in the cheer & dance world for 15 years now, where she began coaching at the High School level. She holds State Cheerleading Titles and has done choreography for teams in Texas, New Mexico & Colorado. She has been a technical and routine judge for state, regional, and national competitions, including judging both High School and All-Star teams at the National Level in Orlando, Florida (competitions seen on ESPN) for the past 7 years. In 2005, she was chosen to judge the Mexico International Nationals in Mexico City, Mexico.

Dawn has many credentials, which include being both NFHS & AACCA certified. She was an instructor, and head instructor for 10 years for Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA). Dawn is the director of the CSU Ramettes, in its 2nd year; and the current Spirit Coordinator and head cheer coach at CSU.
