Anthoney Hill

Hall of Fame Class of 2008

Assistant Coach - Football (2008 to 2011)
Football (1991 to 1994)

Anthoney Hill remains as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time at CSU and will always be known as the man that helped lead CSU to their first WAC championship in school history. A graduate of University City High School in San Diego, Hill's offensive numbers might not fully tell the story of his leadership on the field. Both a passing and running quarterback, Hill broke the school's all-time total offense record at 7,428 which remains second in school history. He truly set a new standard for what a quarterback at CSU should be in the Sonny Lubick era and is regarded by many fans more than 20 years since his playing days.

After his career at CSU, Hill went on to play one season in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos and then centered on a career in coaching. He returned to his high school alma mater as a quarterbacks coach and then came back to CSU as a student assistant. After earning his degree from CSU in 1999, Hill coached at various high schools and colleges in California before becoming the running backs coach and tight ends coach under Steve Fairchild at CSU.

Other Accomplishments:

  • Nye Award (1995)
  • Co-Offensive Player of 1994 Holiday Bowl
  • Team MVP (1994)
  • All-WAC 2nd Team (1994)
