Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coordinator

Chris Anderson is beginning his first year as the Asst. Strength & Conditioning Coordinator at Colorado State University. His primary responsibilities are with the football team, assisting in all aspects of speed development, strength training, and conditioning. In addition, Anderson has been charged with helping to develop a comprehensive sports nutrition program within the athletics department as well as overseeing the swim team and the development of the strength & conditioning website.

Prior to his arrival at Colorado State, Anderson was the head strength & conditioning coach for five years at Western Illinois University where he oversaw the development of 20 different DI teams. Before Western Anderson was an assistant strength coach at Kansas State University for two years with football, volleyball, & rowing. He also worked at the University of Maine for three years and Idaho State University for one year as an assistant strength & conditioning coach. Before Idaho State, Anderson worked as a minor league strength & conditioning coach with the Cleveland Indians Mahoning Valley Scrappers minor league team.

Anderson, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, is happily married to his wife of 13 years, Teri Anderson, and is the proud father of three boys - Christopher Michael, Joseph-Michael Dane, and Nathaniel Todd Anderson.
