The Colorado State University Ram Club announced a New Member Referral Contest that began on June 1, 2008 and will run through August 31, 2008. The contest will feature a number of prizes for new referrals from current Ram Club members.
"This contest is an excellent way to get our current members involved in promoting the Ram Club and encourage friends, family, and neighbors in the community to support student-athletes," said Dan Johnston, Annual Fund Director of the Ram Club.
Prizes will be awarded to the top referrers based on the number of new members brought in. Those that refer one to five new members will receive a set of glasses with the Colorado State logo. Ram Club members who refer six to 10 new members receive a Colorado State embroidered visor. Those that refer 11 to 15 new members will receive authentic CSU athletic apparel. The top referrers who recruit 16 or more new members will receive an autograph ball of their choice.
"We are only as strong as our current members, and I hope they enjoy the opportunity to help us grow our membership and abundance of Ram pride," said Johnston.
The Ram Club is composed of approximately 2,200 members made up of alumni, friends, and fans of Colorado State University athletics. Contributions provide athletic scholarship support to more than 400 student-athletes participating in 16 varsity sports.
