FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State athletics department and the CSU spirit squads announced Monday the formation of the Ramettes, a new youth spirit program designed for girls between 4 years old and the eighth grade.
The Ramettes will receive close instruction from members of the CSU Cheerleading and Golden Poms squads in a fun and entertaining environment, with the team slated to perform at various Rams athletic events throughout the 2010-11 season. Many appearances will be in front of thousands of fans at either Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium or Moby Arena.
The season begins Aug. 24 with an orientation, and runs through April. With at least eight performances throughout the year, the Ramettes will have many chances to showcase their skills in traditional cheerleading, as well as jazz and hip-hop dance.
Tuition and uniform fees apply, and CSU athletics is offering several payment options, including discounts for children of Ram Club members, or those Ramettes enrolled in the Junior Ram Club. All proceeds will help fund the CSU spirit programs.
Additional information on the Ramettes, including general information, frequently asked questions, and printable registration forms, are available at CSURams.com/ramettes.
